Submission of Manuscript

The author submits an original, unpublished manuscript through the AIRJ Submission Portal or by email to contact@majallathussaada.com. The submission should include:

• The full manuscript prepared as per the Submission Guidelines.
• A structured abstract of 150 to 250 words and 3 to 6 keywords.
• Author details including full name, institutional affiliation and corresponding author email.
• A signed author undertaking confirming originality and single-journal submission.

An automated acknowledgement is sent to the corresponding author on receipt, along with a unique tracking code that can be used to check the status of the submission at any time.

Editorial Screening

The editorial team screens every incoming submission to check that it meets the journal's basic requirements. This includes:

• Scope check: Does the manuscript fit AIRJ's multi-disciplinary scope?
• Format check: Does the manuscript follow the Submission Guidelines?
• Originality check: The manuscript is screened using Turnitin. Similarity above 10% (excluding references and quoted text) is grounds for return under our Plagiarism Policy.
• Ethics check: Ethical statements, informed consent and disclosure of any use of generative AI tools.

Manuscripts that fail this screening are either returned for correction or declined at this stage, with the reasons clearly communicated to the author. Screening typically takes 3 to 5 working days.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Submissions that pass initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review. Two or more subject experts, drawn from AIRJ's reviewer panel, independently evaluate the manuscript. The identities of authors and reviewers remain concealed from each other throughout the process.

Reviewers assess the manuscript on originality, methodology, argument, evidence, clarity, and contribution to the field. They may recommend one of four outcomes: Accept, Accept with Minor Revisions, Major Revisions Required, or Reject. Peer review typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. Author Response & Revision

Where reviewers recommend revisions, the corresponding author receives the consolidated feedback along with a request for a revised manuscript. The author is expected to:

• Prepare a revised version of the manuscript addressing every substantive comment.
• Submit a point-by-point response document explaining how each comment was addressed, or, where the author disagrees, provide a reasoned rebuttal.
• Submit the revision within the timeframe communicated by the editor, usually 2 to 4 weeks.

The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for a second round of evaluation, or accepted directly by the editor if the revisions are straightforward and satisfactory.

Editorial Decision & Notification

Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the author's revisions, the editorial team takes the final decision on the manuscript. The corresponding author is notified in writing of one of the following outcomes:

• Accepted for Publication: The manuscript is scheduled for publication in the next available issue.
• Conditional Acceptance: Acceptance is subject to minor final revisions.
• Rejected: The manuscript will not be published in AIRJ. Detailed reasons are provided, and authors may appeal the decision in line with the appeals process set out in the Review Policy.

Where a manuscript is accepted, an acceptance letter is issued to the corresponding author, which authors may use for institutional records.

Copy Editing & Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo a light copy edit for language, formatting and reference consistency. The author receives a proof of the final formatted article for approval before publication. Once approved, the article is:

• Assigned final volume, issue and page numbers.
• Assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) where applicable.
• Published online in the current or next scheduled quarterly issue.
• Made freely available to readers worldwide under the CC BY 4.0 licence.

Certificate Issue & Post-Publication

After publication, an official Certificate of Publication is issued to each author. The certificate can be downloaded from the AIRJ portal and verified online using the tracking code and the Verify Certificate page.

Published articles remain permanently accessible on the AIRJ website and archive. Authors are encouraged to share their work through personal websites, institutional repositories and academic networks, with proper citation of the AIRJ publication.
